Bilingual HR Assistant.
Job Description
As HR Assistant at THE CORE, you will work directly under the HR Manager to support day-to-day HR operations across AREA 35, SAFEHOUSE, and WHISTLER. This is a hands-on role suited for someone organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow in HR within a fast-moving international creative company.
Key Responsibilities
Support recruitment operations: job postings, candidate coordination, interview scheduling, and ATS management (HERP)
Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation, checklists, and system access coordination
Maintain and update employee records, HR trackers, and internal databases
Compile and analyze HR data and metrics (headcount, turnover, leave balances, hiring pipeline, etc.)
Prepare HR documents, including offer letters, contracts, and internal communications
Support compliance tracking related to Japanese labor law requirements
Assist with employee communications and internal HR announcements
Coordinate with payroll and admin teams on attendance, social insurance, and related matters
Support ad hoc HR projects and process improvement initiatives
Requirements
Business-level Japanese and working-level English (read, write, speak)
1+ years of experience in HR, recruitment coordination, or a related administrative role
Comfortable handling confidential information with discretion
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office (especially Excel/Sheets for data tracking and reporting)
Comfortable using AI tools (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT) to support drafting, research, and workflow efficiency
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Desirable
Experience with an ATS or HRIS system
Familiarity with Japanese labor law basics (social insurance, paid leave, etc.)
Data analysis or reporting experience (Google Sheets, Excel)
Interest in the gaming, animation, or entertainment industry
Base Salary
Salary is based on qualifications and experience.
